SW EQ6-R Pro, SW Esprit 120 & ZWO ASI 533

This setup is semi-permanent – it’s mounted on the Sky-Watcher Pillar Tripod which is very stable, but being on wheels is relatively easy to wheel in and out of a shed/garage.

The mount is the Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro – very solid and easily handles the Esprit 120 telescope and accessories.

The telescope is the Sky-Watcher Esprit 120 refractor F7 Telescope – this is a triplet apochromatic refractor with a Focal Length of 840mm . This one has the matching field flattener attached.

Attached to the telescope is the Primaluchelab Sesto Senso focuser. This also works very well and provides very precise focussing using the autofocus system within Sequence Generator Pro.

The guide scope is a Astro Essentials 32mm f/4 and the guide camera is the ZWO ASI 120MM Mini.

The main imaging camera is the ZWO ASI 533MC-PRO, which has a pixel size appropriate to the telescope.

For power management I have the Pegasus Power Box Advance and for polar alignment I have the QHYCCD PoleMaster.

I use a Lenovo laptop running Sequence Generator Pro to control the mount, scope and sequencing.
